Wisdom

In the stillness of night, wisdom came and stood

By my bed.  She gazed upon me like a tender Mother

and wiped away my tears, and said: I have heard

The cry of your spirit and I have come to comfort it.

Open your heart to me and I shall fill it wth light.

Ask of me and I shall show you the way of truth.

Hi Cheryl!
Your lovely picture is like a sweet medicine this morning in the troubled days we're living in... I can feel so much stillness, peacefulness, kindness and compassion in this image of a lovely little wild flower... we can't help asking ourselves how human beings can be so hate-filled, so crual, so 'inhuman"... and this morning, the immutable beauty of nature soothes my soul.... beautiful picture associated to a moving poem... thank you for sharing, Cheryl...

Hi Cheryl,
Such a beautiful image to go along with the lovely poem. I read Odile's words above and agree with all she said. Despite all the bad in the world there is still beauty, and when we look for it we can find it...like your picture above...

The beauty is simply stunning on your photo...muted soft colors, and touch of breeze, and elegant soothing background. The poem is amazing...reminds me how God himself is right near us and we only need to be open to accept his love and comfort in our time of sorrow. Very very beautiful!!

Yes, Cheryl, your picture and quote are healing for me. The instability and unpredictability of this world threatens to steal our joy, and only through wisdom can we press on.
