Week 39 of Be Still.. A breath of Fresh air...I set it all up...props, table, side lighting and I just didn't get it. It doesn't always work for me...sometimes it's still a struggle...so for today...I walked away. Instead I went to what I love the most..the great outdoors and I found my Be Still moment with this tree...tomorrow, I'll try setting up a scene again but for today...I'm o.k. with my tree..
Edited in LR..KK preset Slight Light..into Photoshop for text...do what feels right...It's all good.

You're tree is beautiful. I'm still on week 8 of Be Still. Sigh.
Love the peaceful feel of this tree photo!
Last week I deleted more images than I took! LOL Your tree is beautiful! Love the quotes as they are all so true...like you true to yourself! I'm glad you post this tree...it makes me feel good and I love the minimalistic but small details on the branches. Have a beautiful day and don't stress about the staged stuff!
I enjoy the tree more being an outdoor girl :)
Glad to know that I am not the only one to find structuring a still life can at times be challenging. Great tree and wonderful photo!
Well I know nothing about your assignments, but I do know that I love this and am thrilled you were able to just change directions and go outside for some fresh air! In the past, I think I've mentioned that while taking a very *structured* art class many years ago at the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts, we spent an entire month setting up a still life! I HATED that class! But I never forgot that assignment! And I've never ever spent much time on my stills . . . just not my nature! Hey, when the melon is ripe, it will drop from the vine! No need to force it! xox ps...and oh, BTW, that still life became my inkwell icon which I've used consistently for about 20 years (can't remember) as my logo!
You can't force creativity. Then you found creativity where you were not even looking. :) Your tree is beautiful, I love the tones and the quote below the image.
A most beautiful tree, this image is pure poetry.
