The Sweet Side of Summer
Happy July and Welcome to the warm weather...we wait a long time for summer to get here but when it comes it comes rolling right in and plops me in my deck chair...it makes sure my flip flops are ready and my sundress are on their hooks.
It does not come slowly or gently...it roars and I welcome it, even with the heat and humidity being so high I could cook outside without a grill...I welcome it and enjoy it because I know it is the shortest season that we in New England will experience...by mid-August we will be feeling the difference in the air and slowly it will leave us...
So pull up a chair...sit on the deck, grab your homemade lemonade and enjoy the slower pace...go to the rythum of the rocker...and enjoy the beat...and the heat..
Cheers to summer in all it's loveliness...where's the sunscreen...?
The photo above is for my lesson this week in 2DB23...I followed Kim's recipe for photoshop...Just to darn hot for both lightroom and photoshop...I love how it came out...enjoy..

The image came out beautifully, Cheryl. So pretty. So the hot weather is here! We're having it too. Plan to lap it up as long as it's around. Enjoy!
I love how your image turned out - so very pretty. As for our weather...we had over a week around 110, thankfully we cooled off today and it's about 91...Yay for 20 degrees cooler!
What a lovely photograph. You've really captured this in all its beauty.
Beautiful close up. I will skip the humidity, it does nasty things to naturally curly hair. New England in Autumn is so beautiful though.
Simply beautiful Cheryl...
Beautifully done
Thanks to all of you for stopping by...always a pleasure to see you and visit...
Have a beautiful Sunday.
I'm always happy to meet someone who enjoys summer, because it is my least favorite season.
But I'm actually enjoying being inside our beautifully cooled home and spending lots of time lounging in our sunroom,
looking out at nature and glad I'm not in it, being attacked by ticks and mosquitoes. I'm dreaming of walks on Goose Rocks!
Hope to meet you at the beach again this year Antoinette.
